Goa, Oct. 7 -- The family car stolen by the robbers involved in the recent Mapusa dacoity has been found abandoned in Old Goa, police confirmed on Tuesday. The vehicle was allegedly used by the suspects to flee after looting cash and gold worth around Rs.50 lakh from a doctor's residence in Ganesh Puri, Mapusa.

Forensic and technical teams have reached the location to collect evidence from the recovered car. Police continue to track down the unidentified miscreants who tied up the victims during the robbery before escaping in the vehicle.

Authorities said the investigation is progressing and more details are awaited as efforts to trace the suspects intensify.
