Ponda, Oct. 15 -- Mangaldas Naik sustained bleeding injuries after two men allegedly intercepted his scooter and assaulted him with an iron rod at Nagzar in Curti, Goa.

According to the complaint, the two accused, identified as Gopinath Naik and Premanand Naik, allegedly stopped Mangaldas Naik while he was riding his scooter and attacked him with an iron rod, leaving him injured.

Ponda Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the incident.

Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
