Goa, Aug. 11 -- A 35-year-old man in Nagpur was filmed carrying his wife's body on a motorbike after she was killed in a road accident, as his desperate pleas for help went unanswered. The disturbing incident, recorded in a video that has since gone viral, occurred on Raksha Bandhan, 9 August, along the Nagpur-Jabalpur National Highway.

Police identified the man as Amit Yadav. He and his wife, Gyarsi, were travelling from Nagpur's Lonara to Karanpur in Madhya Pradesh when a speeding truck struck them near Morphata. Gyarsi fell onto the road and was fatally run over. The truck driver fled.
