Goa, July 8 -- A major water pipeline leak has been reported on Borda Road behind Ravindra Bhavan in Margao, resulting in a significant quantity of drinking water flowing onto the road and raising concerns over wastage.

Social worker Milagres Fernandes visited the site and alleged that hundreds of litres of potable water are being wasted every day due to the damaged pipeline.

Highlighting the irony of the situation, Fernandes said residents of Fatorda continue to face inadequate water supply to their homes while large volumes of treated drinking water are being lost because of the unrepaired leak.
