Goa, Aug. 2 -- In a welcome move for small-scale vendors, the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has announced a significant 84% fee concession for khaje stalls participating in the upcoming Saptah fair.
The decision comes as a major relief for traditional sweet vendors, many of whom had expressed concerns about high stall charges affecting their earnings. With this discount, the MMC aims to support local vendors and preserve the cultural essence of the annual fair.
Khaje, a spicy-sweet delicacy, is a staple offering at the Saptah fair and holds sentimental value for both vendors and visitors.
