Goa, Aug. 10 -- Activist Sanjay Barde has raised serious concerns about ongoing corruption at the Patradevi checkpost in Goa. Despite a "Zero Tolerance to Corruption" notice that was previously displayed below the Excise Department board, Barde alleges that bribery continues unchecked, particularly involving police officers extorting money from truck drivers.
This corruption reportedly ranges from Rs.20 to Rs.450 per vehicle per trip, as exposed in recent sting operations.
