Goa, Oct. 25 -- At least 20 people, including 19 passengers and a motorcyclist, lost their lives early Friday when an AC sleeper bus traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire after colliding with a motorcycle in Kurnool.
According to senior police officials, the bus driver had initially stopped to check on the situation but panicked and fled the scene, leaving passengers trapped inside. The collision occurred around 3 a.m., when the motorcycle became lodged under the bus. Friction from the incident is believed to have sparked the blaze.
