Korgao Gram Sabha Pushes Action On Sewage, Potholes And Illegal Projects
Goa, Aug. 23 -- The Korgao Gram Sabha discussed several civic and development concerns, including open discharge of domestic and toilet wastewater, damaged roads and alleged illegal activities linked to mega-projects.
Villagers demanded action against those responsible for releasing sewage into open areas, citing concerns over hygiene and public health.
They also sought urgent repairs to pothole-ridden roads across the village's wards ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Korgao Sarpanch Kalpita Kalashavkar said roads in all village hamlets would be repaired before the festival. The meeting also called for strict action, as per regulations, if any illegal activities are found within or around ongoing mega-projects in Korgao.
