Goa, Aug. 24 -- The Konkan Railway's first-ever special roll on-roll off (Ro-Ro) train service for private cars successfully arrived in Goa in the early hours of Sunday, marking the completion of its maiden run from Maharashtra.

Launched by the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), the facility allows passengers to travel with their cars, aimed at reducing road congestion during the busy Ganesh festival season in Maharashtra's Konkan region and Goa.

According to KRCL deputy general manager Baban Ghatge, four cars were dropped off at Nandgao near Kankavli in Sindhudurg, while one car was offloaded at Verna in South Goa. "It was a memorable experience for families who travelled with their own vehicles," he said, urging more people to...
