Goa, April 13 -- A minor from Bicholim, who was reported kidnapped on April 5 along with gold worth Rs.10 lakh and Rs.20,000 in cash, has been successfully traced and rescued in Karnataka, police said.

Acting on CCTV footage and technical surveillance, investigators tracked the minor to Bagalkot. The rescue operation was carried out on April 8 at the Sangameshwara Fair in Kudal Sangam, with assistance from local police.

Authorities confirmed that the minor was safely rescued during the operation. The stolen gold ornaments and cash were also recovered.

Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify any individuals involved.
