Goa, Oct. 18 -- Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday urged former US President Donald Trump to help ease tensions with Afghanistan's Taliban-controlled government. Lauding Trump's past peace efforts, Asif said he would openly welcome the American leader's mediation in the ongoing negotiations.When asked about Trump's possible role in the peace process, Asif praised him as a "leader of peace," noting that Trump had "made efforts to bring harmony between nations" and had successfully "negotiated peace in seven wars."
