Goa, Aug. 14 -- A special poetry gathering titled 'Kavya Bharati' was organised at Sanquelim Fort on the eve of Independence Day, bringing together poets, literature lovers and members of the community in a celebration of poetry, culture and history.

The event was jointly organised by the Vivekananda Prerana Social and Educational Institution, Sanquelim, and the Directorate of Archaeology, Goa, under the guidance of institution president Paurnima Kerkar.

Director of the Directorate of Archaeology, Phaldessai, attended as the chief guest, while local councillor Anand Kanekar was also present.
