Goa, Aug. 5 -- Political tensions have escalated in Karnataka following the expansion of the state cabinet, with several senior leaders voicing disappointment after being overlooked for ministerial positions.

Despite the growing discontent, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar appeared unfazed by the backlash, stating that he was prepared to accept the resignation of any dissatisfied MLA "within a few minutes." He, however, added that he would personally speak to each legislator to address their concerns.

Addressing the newly inducted ministers, Shivakumar urged them to immediately focus on drought relief efforts across the state.
