Goa, June 9 -- The Kala Academy complex will remain closed from August 1 to facilitate corrective repairs after an inspection report by IIT Madras identified 18 major defects in the recently completed renovation work.

Acting on the findings, the Kala Academy Task Force has decided to undertake extensive rectification work to address the structural and technical deficiencies highlighted in the report. The move comes amid growing concerns over the quality of the renovation project.
