Goa, Sept. 25 -- Kadamba Transport Corporation drivers have raised strong concerns over unequal pay, demanding parity between electric bus (EV) drivers and their counterparts operating conventional buses. Addressing a press conference, union leaders Christopher Fonseca and Chandrakant Chodankar highlighted the significant wage gap.

While regular Kadamba drivers reportedly earn around Rs.40,000 per month, EV drivers-who perform the same duties-receive only Rs.18,000. "This is a clear case of discrimination and exploitation," said union president Chodankar.

The union has given the government a deadline of September 30 to address their demands. "If the issue is not resolved by then, we will be forced to take to the streets," Chodankar warn...
