Goa, Aug. 29 -- The Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen has reportedly suffered a major blow after an Israeli airstrike in Sanaa allegedly killed their prime minister, Ahmed al-Rahawi. Yemeni outlets Al-Jumhuriya and Aden Al-Ghad claimed al-Rahawi died in the strike, which also killed several of his aides. Israel has not officially confirmed the reports.
On Friday (Aug 29), the Israeli Defence Forces confirmed conducting a precision airstrike on a Houthi military facility near Sanaa, hours after intercepting two drones. Defence Minister Israel Katz, who cleared the mission alongside PM Benjamin Netanyahu and top commanders, hinted at high-level targets by invoking the biblical "plague of the firstborn."
