Goa, May 14 -- Diljit Dosanjh, one of the biggest global faces of Punjabi music and cinema, is reportedly no longer an Indian citizen. According to a reports, the singer-actor obtained United States citizenship in 2022 and has since been travelling internationally on a US passport.

The revelation surfaced days after a Punjab-based think tank publicly urged Dosanjh to enter politics and lead the state's future. The group, comprising retired military officials, bureaucrats and professionals, claimed Punjab needed a fresh leadership alternative. However, Dosanjh quickly rejected the proposal through a post on X, saying politics was not his calling and that he was happy working in entertainment.
