Goa, Sept. 14 -- Iran and the United Arab Emirates have signalled a possible diplomatic thaw, with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian saying the two countries have agreed to "turn the page" on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and focus on building a shared future.

Pezeshkian made the remarks on Sunday, a day after meeting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in India.

Describing the discussions as constructive, Pezeshkian said both sides had agreed to move beyond the current conflict and strengthen their relationship.

"It was agreed that we would turn the page, look to the future and build it together," Pezeshkian said.
