Goa, May 2 -- Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that the schedule for the Indian Premier League 2026 playoffs will be announced within the next few days. While the league-stage fixtures were released earlier in two phases, the dates and venues for the crucial knockout matches - Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the final - are yet to be revealed.

The delay in announcing the playoff schedule has largely been attributed to logistical planning and external factors, including state election dates earlier this year.
