Goa, Oct. 5 -- IndiGo has announced an increase in fuel surcharges on its domestic and international flights, citing a sharp rise in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices. The revised charges will come into effect from October 6 and are expected to push up airfares for passengers.

The airline said the fuel surcharge on domestic flights will increase by Rs 100 to Rs 350, depending on the distance of the journey. A revised fuel charge will also be applicable to international flights, although the airline did not provide a detailed breakup of the increase for those routes.
