Goa, July 11 -- In a boost to India's indigenous defence capabilities, Indian defence company IDMS Vigilant Def Technologies has developed a proof-of-concept anti-drone round for the AK-47 rifle under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

According to the company, the specially designed ammunition releases four projectiles with a single shot, significantly improving the rifle's effectiveness against swarm and kamikaze drones. The anti-drone round is designed to function without requiring any modification to the standard AK-47 platform, making it easier to integrate into existing weapon systems.
