Goa, June 27 -- The Indian Coast Guard marked a major milestone today with the induction of Adamya, the first in a new series of eight Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) being built by Goa Shipyard Limited.
Commissioned in Goa, Adamya is the first vessel of its class to be equipped with Controllable Pitch Propellers and fully indigenously developed gearboxes, significantly boosting maneuverability and operational efficiency.
The advanced patrol craft features state-of-the-art systems, including a 30mm CRN-91 naval gun with modern fire control, Integrated Bridge and Platform Management Systems, and sophisticated surveillance capabilities.
