Goa, Dec. 19 -- Ajit Agarkar's selection committee will meet in Mumbai on Saturday to pick India's squads for the T20 World Cup 2026 and the upcoming New Zealand T20I series. Captain Suryakumar Yadav will also be present. Both squads are expected to be similar, with no major changes.
The 15-man squad will be submitted to the ICC, though changes remain possible before or during the tournament with approval. India will begin their World Cup campaign on February 7 against the USA at Wankhede Stadium, followed by games against Namibia, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. Suryakumar is likely to lead the side, with Shubman Gill as deputy, while top performers like Sanju Samson face stiff competition from emerging stars such as Yashasvi Jaiswal.
