Goa, May 8 -- India created history in the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup by defeating Lebanon 4-0 to reach the quarterfinals for the first time. The victory has also put them one win away from qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Pritika Barman starred with a brace (7', 85'), while Alva Devi Senjam (36') and Joya (72') also found the net in a dominant display at the Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Centre. India's qualification was later confirmed after results in Group C went in their favour, allowing them to progress as one of the best third-placed teams.
