Goa, April 9 -- The Government of India has directed the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) to reduce landing and parking charges by 25% at all major airports for domestic flights for a period of three months.
The decision comes amid the ongoing West Asia crisis, aimed at easing the financial burden on airlines and ensuring stability in domestic air travel operations.
Officials confirmed that the reduction has taken immediate effect. The government has also stated that the measure will be reviewed before the end of the three-month period to assess its impact and decide on any further course of action.
