Goa, Oct. 14 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across Goa on October 16 and 17, with wind speeds expected to reach 30-40 kmph.

According to the forecast, light rain and thundershowers are likely to continue at various places in the state until October 20.

The weather department has also warned that hot and humid conditions are likely to persist across Goa until October 16.

Residents are advised to remain cautious during thunderstorms and lightning, particularly in areas exposed to strong winds. People should avoid taking shelter under trees during lightning activity and follow official weather updates for further advisories.
