IMD Forecasts Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Goa Next Week, Government Issues Safety Advisory
Goa, July 25 -- Goa is expected to experience another spell of widespread rainfall next week, with isolated areas likely to receive heavy to very heavy showers, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather department has cautioned that strengthening weather systems over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal could bring intense rainfall across the state. The expected downpour may result in localised flooding, waterlogging, traffic disruptions and landslides in vulnerable regions.
In response to the forecast, the Goa government has issued a public advisory urging residents to exercise caution during periods of heavy rain.
