Goa, July 7 -- India's higher education sector is set to strengthen its international presence with the establishment of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's first overseas campus in Indonesia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the initiative during his visit to Indonesia, describing it as a significant step that will benefit students, professionals and strengthen educational cooperation across the ASEAN region.

The new campus will be established in the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Malang. It will become IIM Bangalore's first international campus, joining a growing list of premier Indian institutions expanding abroad.
