Goa, July 30 -- The Station House Officer (SHO) of Jubilee Hills Police Station in Hyderabad has been suspended following serious allegations of sexual exploitation, blackmail and criminal intimidation levelled against him by a 31-year-old woman.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar issued suspension orders against SHO U Srinivasulu Reddy, with the announcement made late on Tuesday night.

The officer was initially transferred to the Vacancy Reserve after the woman, a resident of Sangareddy district, lodged a complaint with Director General of Police (DGP) CV Anand. Following a preliminary inquiry into the allegations, the Police Commissioner ordered Reddy's suspension pending a departmental investigation.
