Goa, July 6 -- The High Court has ordered that the interim stay on bringing a new high-capacity casino vessel into the Mandovi River will continue until further orders.

During the hearing, the court granted the petitioner, Enough is Enough, additional time to file a rejoinder to the affidavit submitted by the respondent casino company.

Following the request, the High Court adjourned the matter to August 18, when the case will be taken up for further hearing.

The interim order ensures that the proposed casino vessel cannot be brought into the Mandovi River until the court issues further directions. The case forms part of the ongoing legal challenge concerning the induction of a new offshore casino vessel into Goa's riverine waters.
