Goa, June 23 -- Heavy rainfall on Monday night led to the uprooting of a large banyan tree near Quitla ground in Aldona, damaging electricity lines and causing a temporary power outage in the area. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

According to local resident Alfi Lobo, the incident occurred at around 10.30 pm during intense rainfall. The massive tree came crashing down into a nearby field, damaging electric wires in the process and disrupting power supply to surrounding households.
