Goa, July 5 -- A section of the Belagavi-Goa Highway caved in late Friday night at Anmod Ghat on the Goa side, severely affecting traffic movement between Goa and Karnataka.

Officials reported that heavy rainfall in the area triggered the road collapse, creating a hazardous gap that has made the route impassable. Vehicles were diverted, and authorities have advised motorists to avoid traveling on this stretch until repair and stabilization work is completed.

Emergency teams have been deployed to assess the damage and begin restoration efforts. Motorists are urged to check for updates and use alternate routes to minimize inconvenience.
