Goa, Oct. 3 -- Kolkata, West Bengal - A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall in several districts of West Bengal until the morning of October 6, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned. The inclement weather affected festivities on Thursday, dampening the spirits of Durga Puja revellers on Bijoya Dashami, the festival's culminating day.
The IMD stated that the depression is likely to move toward the coast, crossing Odisha and adjoining Andhra Pradesh between Gopalpur and Paradip by Thursday night.
