Goa, April 19 -- Tensions ran high at the Chicalim Gram Sabha in Goa as residents expressed deep frustration over the area's worsening sewage and garbage problems. The meeting saw heated exchanges, with locals demanding urgent and concrete action from authorities to tackle the ongoing environmental concerns.

Residents pointed to poor waste management and the increasing strain caused by untreated sewage, warning of serious health and ecological consequences if the situation continues unchecked. Many urged officials to convene a special gram sabha involving key stakeholders, including Minister Mauvin Godinho, to ensure accountability and faster decision-making.
