Goa, Aug. 23 -- The High Court has quashed and set aside the June 9, 2025 order of the North Goa Sessions Court, which had directed the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) and the CBI to register an FIR within 24 hours into the alleged Rs.300-crore corruption in the allotment of Patto plots belonging to the Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
In its ruling, the High Court observed that a preliminary inquiry must be conducted before directing the registration of an FIR in such cases. The matter has now been remanded back to the Sessions Court for fresh consideration in line with these directions.
