Goa, Aug. 28 -- Around 100 households in Gurim have been without water for nine days after a pipeline was reportedly damaged during road-raising works, leaving residents facing a prolonged water crisis.

Margao MLA Kedar Naik has stepped in over the issue and warned that if the damaged pipeline is not repaired today, he will take up the matter with the PWD Minister and demand action.

Naik assured affected residents that efforts are being made to resolve the problem and that water supply would be restored by tomorrow.

The prolonged disruption has left residents dependent on alternative arrangements for their daily water needs, with the MLA calling for an early resolution of the issue.
