Goa, June 6 -- A gunshot allegedly fired during a family dispute in Shirgao struck a nearby house, piercing the front door before lodging into a sofa inside the residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Police have detained two individuals in connection with the case and have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the firing.

A forensic team has also been deployed to the scene to examine the evidence, recover ballistic material, and assist investigators in establishing the sequence of events.

Authorities are continuing their probe into the incident, while residents expressed concern over the gunfire occurring in a residential area.
