Hosts Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem, marched into the semi-finals of Fr Gervasio Pinto memorial football tournament defeatingVarca Sports Club 5-0 in the quarterfinals played at Figueiredo ground, Pontemol ground, Curchorem, on Monday. Guardian Angel SC entered the field with renewed ideas and played at fast pace and outplayed Varca SC to score goals at regular intervals. In the first session, ace striker Vitorinho Fernandes netted in the 11th minute, while Fhezer Gomes in the 20th minute. Guardian Angel SC remained 2-0 ahead at half time.
