Goa, Oct. 6 -- The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has rejected the application to establish a second fish meal plant in the Cuncolim Industrial Estate, offering a temporary reprieve to residents who have long battled pollution in the area.
The proposed plant had faced stiff opposition from local residents and environmental activists, citing severe air pollution, foul odours, and contamination of groundwater caused by existing fish meal and fish processing units.
