India, Feb. 13 -- A tourist has alleged that personnel from the Goa Traffic Police demanded a bribe, prompting an official inquiry into the matter. According to the reports, the visitor claimed that traffic officials sought illegal gratification during an interaction on the road.

Responding to the allegations, SP Traffic Prabodh Shirvoikar confirmed that the department has taken cognisance of the complaint. He stated that a formal inquiry has been initiated to verify the claims and determine the facts.
