Goa, Aug. 6 -- In a major step towards water conservation and sustainable resource management, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that treated water from sewage treatment plants (STPs) across Goa will be provided free of cost for non-potable use.

The initiative is aimed at promoting the reuse of treated wastewater for purposes such as construction, gardening, industrial operations, and other non-drinking needs. "Treated water from STPs will be made available free of charge to all consumers for non-potable applications," CM Sawant said.
