Goa to Implement ITMS Camera-Based Traffic Enforcement from July 1 Across 26 Locations
Goa, June 17 -- The Government of Goa is set to roll out its Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) from July 1, 2026, introducing camera-based enforcement of traffic rules across 26 locations in the state.
Under the new system, motorists found violating traffic regulations through automated surveillance cameras will face substantial penalties. The ITMS will monitor and detect a range of offences, including overspeeding, jumping red lights, using mobile phones while driving, failure to wear helmets or seat belts, dangerous driving, and illegal parking.
