Goa, Aug. 18 -- Goa's beloved ti atr has received a signifi cant national endorsement with its inclusion as the 56th element in the Na tional Inventory of Intangi ble Cultural Heritage of In dia. This milestone opens a new chapter in long-stand ing efforts to preserve, pro mote, and secure interna tional recognition for the indigenous Goan theatre tradition. The Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) welcomed the development, stating that the recognition places tiatr firmly on India's national cultural heritage map. It provides a stronger foun dation for the next stage of its journey - seeking inscription on the UNESCO Representative List.
