MARGAO, Aug. 9 -- Goa's forgotten forest flavours took centre stage at the State-level 'Ran-Bhaji Festival' at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, where school students, self-help groups and residents showcased traditional vegetables, recipes and food practices that are gradually disappearing from Goan kitchens.

Organised by the Balraam Charitable Trust in association with the Goa State Biodiversity Board, Department of Tribal Welfare and Department of Agriculture, the festival aimed to create awareness about the nutritional value of forest vegetables and encourage their use in everyday diets.
