Goa, July 16 -- Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced a revision to the Goa government's Kamdhenu Scheme, expanding its benefits to encourage dairy farming and increase milk production in the state.

Under the revised scheme, dairy farmers will now be eligible for financial assistance for up to 20 cows. The first 10 cows will continue to receive a 90 per cent subsidy, while the next 10 cows will be covered under a 75 per cent subsidy.

The Chief Minister said the revised policy is aimed at enabling dairy farmers to expand their herds, improve productivity and strengthen the state's dairy sector.
