Goa Receives Widespread Rainfall; Sanguem Records Highest 24-Hour Rainfall at 100.3 mm
Goa, July 2 -- Goa witnessed widespread rainfall over the 24-hour period ending at 8:30 a.m. on July 2, with Sanguem recording the highest rainfall at 100.3 mm, according to the latest data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre, Goa.
Among other regions, Ponda received 70.8 mm, followed by Valpoi with 47.4 mm, Canacona with 45.2 mm, and Dharbandora with 42.2 mm. North Goa's Sanquelim recorded 40.2 mm, while Mapusa registered 32.4 mm during the same period.
The IMD classified the rainfall activity across the state as "widespread (most places)", while stating that the southwest monsoon remained normal over Goa.
