Goa, July 29 -- The Special PMLA Court in Mapusa has permitted Newton Muthuri Kimani, a 26-year-old foreign national facing trial under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), to travel to Bengaluru to continue his Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) studies.

The court granted Kimani permission to leave Goa and resume his academic programme in Bengaluru, despite the ongoing proceedings against him under the PMLA. Kimani is an accused in a money laundering case and is currently facing trial before the Special PMLA Court in Mapusa, North Goa. The court's order allows him to pursue his higher education while remaining subject to the conditions imposed by the court.
