India, March 9 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the state government plans to avail between 4,500 crore and 5,000 crore under the Centre's special assistance scheme for capital investment in the coming financial year.
According to Sawant, the scheme provides a 50-year interest-free loan aimed at boosting capital expenditure by states. He noted that during the current financial year, Goa availed 4,148 crore under the scheme for capital expenditure.

The Chief Minister further stated that the state has raised 1,250 crore from the open market against the borrowing limit of 4,500 crore.
