Goa, May 31 -- Veteran Goan musician Fausto Rodrigues has died after suffering serious injuries in a road accident near Pinto House Junction in Campal, Panaji. According to police, the accident occurred on May 28 at around 10:43 am near the Military Hospital in Campal.

Investigators alleged that a 76-year-old Panaji resident was driving a white Hyundai Creta rashly when the vehicle collided with a Suzuki Access scooter ridden by Rodrigues. The scooter was travelling towards the road leading to St Inez.

Rodrigues, a resident of Miramar, sustained grievous injuries and later succumbed to them. His wife, Maria Rodrigues, who was riding pillion, was also injured and is undergoing treatment. Panaji Police have registered a case and launched ...
