Goa, Oct. 25 -- The Goa Legislative Assembly's House Committee on the Mhadei river diversion has recommended that the state government approach the Supreme Court to seek an order for a joint inspection of the Kalsa-Bandura project. Committee Chairperson Subhash Shirodkar said the suggestion came during the third meeting of the House Committee after a gap of over nine months.
The committee proposed that the joint inspection be conducted under the chairmanship of the Mhadei Water Management Authority (PRAWAH). Water Resources Minister Shirodkar also noted that Maharashtra has requested to host the next PRAWAH meeting.
